Massage & bodywork - Terms of service

Start and ending times

Sessions start at the time booked. For mobile services the therapist may arrive in advance for time to set up. For on-site service you may arrive up to 5 minutes prior to your booked service. If you arrive late for your service, the therapist may not be able to extend the ending time of the booked time slot, but will make some adjustments if possible. If you realize you will be later than 15 minutes to your booked appointment time, you must communicate your expected time of arrival to your therapist by calling, so the session does not get treated as a no-show.

Payment is accepted as cash, or Google Pay without any fees.

PayPal, Venmo, ACH and credit cards are accepted with a convenience fee (2-3%). Cash is accepted, however, a valid credit card on file is required for all bookings. Credit card information is stored and processed securely in accordance to legal compliances.

Deposits

Deposits are not typically required but can be necessary if there is a high risk of cancelation, or when a therapist extends to accommodate unique situations. When a deposit is necessary it is charged at 50% the expected service fees, and is nonrefundable for services booked within 48 hours. No deposits will be charged without your approval.

Intake

For the safety of therapists providing a 1:1 service in a residential setting, please be understanding for a high level of caution taken. For this reason as well as for processing payments, the following are qualifications for first time clients: proof of your identity, your residential address, and a basic intake form.

Sexual Solicitation

Any solicitation for sexual attention will result in your session being canceled. If that cancelation happens within 24 hours of your appointment or on site, then you will be charged in accordance with the cancelation policy.

On-site service considerations

For service provided on-site in SW Portland, you must not have allergies to cats and you must be ok with minor disruptions that may arise from a kitten. In-call sessions are currently located off of SW Vermont and SW Oleson. The exact location is provided the day prior to, or the day of service.

Mobile service considerations

For driving time that goes over an included 40 minute round trip transit, there is a 75¢ a minute fee. This covers time and fuel expense. Transit begins from SW Portland, close to SW Vermont and SW Oleson.  The fee will be based on the actual traffic conditions at the time of transit, but the charge will not exceed the maximum forecasted conditions.

I carry a massage table to the site. If your home is a multi-story home, I request that you provide a downstairs location for your therapy.

If your apartment is not a ground floor unit, I requests that you opt for my “in-house” service in SW Portland. However, if this is not an option, please contact me directly for consideration.

To accommodate a massage table and my movement around it. You will need to have a clean open floor space of 67” X 101”. The room will also need to be free from synthetic scents in the airways.

If you are requesting service in a hotel or location where parking requires payment, this total will be added to the cost of your service, unless you offer to have short term valet charged to your room.

Contact etiquette for quality care

In use of phone numbers and email, it is important that communications remain relevant. When provider contact information is acquired, it should be used only for service-related communications, which may include sharing your valuable and thought out feedback.
